To play mods for Sonic Generations on PC, a third-party program called "SonicGMI" is required. SonicGMI is a Sonic Generations mod loader created by Dario ff as a result of the creation of CPKREDIR by Korama which allows to play mods directly from modified files that unpacked from cpk files in "disk" folder of the main game without the need of repacking to play. SonicGMI is basically the GUI version of CPKREDIR, meaning the process of choosing mods to play is much more easier than using CPKREDIR directly.
